IM status is indicated by colored stripes or boxes next to peoples' names, avatars, or pictures: You can see someone's current IM status in the Outlook on the Web when viewing or composing emails and in the People tab when viewing your contacts or looking someone up in the directory. To sign out of IM and stay logged into Office 365, click your picture/avatar and select Sign out of IM from the menu. To change your status, click your picture/avatar and select one from the menu.Ĥ. Your presence status can be set in Outlook Online (Outlook in your web browser) or in Teams, but both locations will automatically change your status if you are away from your desk for a period of time or if you have a meeting scheduled in your calendar. Your presence status lets your coworkers know if you're at your desk and available for communication.
